Resetting your Proofpoint Essentials user interface password
  1. Simply go to the Proofpoint Essentials Web Interface site. This depends on which datacentre you are in: 
    1. https://eu1.proofpointessentials.com
    2. https://us1.proofpointessentials.com
    3. https://us3.proofpointessentials.com
    4. https://us4.proofpointessentials.com

 

  1. On the login screen click the ‘Forgot your password’ hyperlink at the bottom beside the login button.
  2. The next screen that appears will prompt you to input the registered email address in the box provided.
  3. Once you have done this, simply click on the Get Password button and an email will be sent to the registered email address entered with details of your new password.

Reset via SMS : 

Passwords can also be reset via SMS. 

Once on the password reset screen click on the SMS tab (make sure Emails address is entered already as you would do to reset via Email) and if the entered Email address has a mobile number attached to it a

Reset code would be sent with the following notification : 

If you have entered a registered email address and have a valid mobile number associated to your account, a reset code has been sent. Messages are not sent to email addresses that have not been registered to use this service.

Paste code in the Reset code field and this should reset the account.

PS : User must have entered in a valid phone# for the SMS functionality to work
