Releasing emails from Quarantine

Proofpoint Essentials allows End Users, Org Admins, Channel Admins to release quarantine emails from the User Interface (UI).

To do this login to the UI

  1. Click on Logs
  2. Click on the user name for the logs that you wish to search
  3. Choose type, date range, status 'quarantined'.

This will return all quarantined mail for a particular user in the date range and direction specified.

With the results returned there are a number of actions that can be taken (we will discuss release from quarantine)

On the quarantined emails displayed:

  1. Click on the checkbox next to the quarantined message you wish to apply an action to
  2. Click the Actions drop-down list
  3. Select action - Release from quarantine
  4. Click on Apply

This will release the selected mail from quarantine to be delivered to the intended recipient.


N.B.
If an error occurs please wait five minutes and attempt this action again.
The release from quarantine functionality runs on a five minute schedule and your email may not just be ready to be released.

If after five minutes you are still not able to release please contact Proofpoint Essentials Support
