This KB article will walk you through how to create a filter rule for specific extensions and/or filenames and block them from end users.
In addition, you may want to review these articles for a more broad view on our filters:
To get started the filters menu is located under Company Settings > Filters
Click "Add the first filter" or if you have filters already click "Add New Filter" to get started
Add New Filter
Filter Builder Section
Step 1 "Scope" will be whether the rule is specific to a user or the whole Company. There is a drop down menu here to select a specific user or group
Step 2 Select "If" conditions by clicking on first Choose dropdown button
Select Attachment Name and then click on second "Choose" dropdown to select option either "IS " or "IS NOT"
Input the extension name, i.e. *.zip
Step 3 Click on "Manage" link to choose attachment type
Step 4 Select "Do"
Step 5 Select Priority. Low or Normal. Normal being default
Step 6: Click Save filter. This will save the filter and automatically scroll you to the top of the page stating "Filter Saved."
NOTE: To get back to complete filter list you need to click Filters tab in the main menu bar
